Crewe Alexandra have announced that midfielder Oliver Finney has signed a 12-month extension with the club, his contract now set to run until June 2024.
Finney, 23, spent time on loan at Nantwich Town before making his Alex debut in the final game of the 16/17 season as a substitute against Barnet. He would spend a couple of months on loan at Halesowen Town in the following season before breaking into the first-team picture in the 18/19 season.

He’s established himself as a key part of the team as the most advanced of the midfield 3 in the system that we play, getting into positions that have provided him with a number of goal contributions in the last 18 months (something that we missed after his leg break at the start of February at Shrewsbury Town).
