This evening sees us host National League side Eastleigh in the FA Cup 2nd Round replay, following a 1-1 draw 10 days ago, with the winner advancing to face Barnsley at home in Round 3 (a game that will take place on the first Sunday of the New Year with a 2.01pm kick-off).

As they come into the game sitting in 13th place in the National League, they have beaten Notts County, Solihull Moors, Boreham Wood, Chesterfield, Maidenhead United and Harrogate Town, they have drawn with Sutton United, Dagenham & Redbridge, Ebbsfleet United, Bromley, Hartlepool United, Chorley, Woking, Halifax Town and Ebbsfleet United while they have lost to Yeovil Town, Barrow, Stockport County, Barnet, AFC Fylde, Torquay United, Dover Athletic, Torquay United and Wrexham.

In the FA Cup, they have advanced past Welling United after a replay in the 4th Qualifying Round before knocking out Stourbridge in Round 1, again after a replay.

Looking back in the archives, the two teams only met the once before the original game, also in the FA Cup, in November 2015 where Ben Strevens scored a 75th-minute penalty past substitute goalkeeper Dan Nizic following a red card to Ben Garratt.

Who are the officials for the game?

The officials for this game see Sam Purkiss as the man in the middle where he is assisted by Oliver Bickle and Hristo Karaivanov with Aaron Jackson being the fourth official. This is the first game that Purkiss will have refereed the Alex.
