Tomorrow afternoon sees Crewe Alexandra host AFC Wimbledon in the second half of the Dons double.

This season sees the Dons sitting in 7th place having beaten Colchester United, Sutton United, Walsall, Tranmere Rovers, Harrogate Town, Doncaster Rovers, Notts County twice, Swindon Town, Crawley Town, Colchester United, Mansfield Town, Barrow, MK Dons and Gillingham, they have drawn against Grimsby Town twice, Wrexham, Forest Green Rovers twice, Newport County, Mansfield, Barrow, Salford City, Bradford City and Morecambe, while they have lost against Stockport County, Bradford, Accrington Stanley twice, Morecambe, Gillingham, Sutton, Wrexham, MK Dons, Crawley, Doncaster and Newport.

They lost to Ipswich Town in the FA Cup Round 3 (beating Cheltenham Town and Ramsgate in the process) while they lost to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup second round (after beating Coventry in Round 1). In the EFL Trophy, they finished 2nd after beating both Stevenage (on penalties) and Crystal Palace’s Under-21s before losing to Wycombe Wanderers. They would beat Portsmouth and Oxford United before losing against Peterborough United in the quarter-finals.

Transfers:

Since the last meeting, they have signed goalkeeper Ryan Sandford, defender Joe Lewis and forwards Ronan Curtis and Josh Kelly on permanent deals with defenders Kofi Balmer and John-Joe O’Toole as well as forward John-Kymani Gordon joining on loan deals.

Leaving the club permanently was forward Ali Al-Hamadi while several players have left the club on loan deals.
