Coventry have released ex-Crewe goalkeeper Clayton Ince, despite having another year left on his contract. The Trinidadian International has struggled to secure a first team place at Coventry, making just 4 appearances in total. The 33-year old was very popular at Crewe, whose fans will be hopeful of seeing Ince return to Gresty Road. However, Ince’s relationship with Crewe boss Dario Gradi may prevent the possibility of Ince rejoining. Ince is in Trinidad’s squad for this summer’s world cup, and should be able to find himself a club as a consequence.

Other players released by Coventry include Dennis Wise, Richard Shaw, ex-Crewe loanee Graham Barrett, Ady Williams and Andy Morrell.
