Things are changing around here. Read on for more

Good afternoon Alex fans. I`d like to introduce myself. My name is Nicky and I am the new editor here at Vital Crewe. Along with Ross (as you can see in the sidebar), we`ll be running the site here. I was previously editor of Vital Bolton for 18 months, but believe me, my ties with other teams do not in anyway mean I care any less about Crewe Alex. If anything, I think it speaks more of the club that it can draw fans who already love another club. The ethos and spirit surrounding Crewe, really is fantastic, and that`s what`s brought me here.

I’m genuinely delighted and humbled to be the new editor here, and I’m really excited about getting started.

Anyway, enough of that, how about a bit of what you can expect from us? We want to share opinions. I think that`s what Vital Football`s all about. Fans talking to other fans about the club that they love, and sharing these thoughts will be central to all things Vital Crewe.

We`ll of course also be keeping you updated with the latest news from Gresty Road. You can follow us on Twitter (@VitalCrewe) for our latest thoughts and debate, but we would like to encourage you as much as possible to get involved below in the comments section. To do so, you can either make an account or log in with social media and get started.

At Crewe, we`ve been lucky enough to have some great players and characters over the years, and we`re hoping to get some of them involved on the site, too, with player interviews already in the pipeline!

It`s been a tough last few years, there`s no doubt about it (and losing Brad Inman yesterday has definitely made things worse) but let`s stick together as fans. That`s what it`s all about. We want this site to be a platform for fans to do so. Therefore, we`d like to give you all a voice. If you`re interested in writing for us, or just want to get in touch, drop us a line: crewe@vitalfootball.co.uk We`d love to hear from you.

Finally, just to let you know, I`ll be volunteering abroad for the next three weeks, starting on Friday, so I may not be with you for the majority of July (wifi pending!), but fear not, co-editor Ross will be running the ship then and you`ll be in good fans with him.

So there you have it. Please do leave a comment and get the debate going below. How do you think we`ll do this season?
