Crewe Alexandra youngster Luke Offord has joined Witton Albion on loan, initially for a month, starting with their 2-0 victory over Workington Town last night where he played the full game.

Offord, 19, who can play all across the back 4 and in midfield, has been a regular for Alex Morris’ Under-23 team and, whilst he has yet to appear for the first team, he has made the bench 3 times so far (against Blackburn Rovers last season at Ewood Park and against both Newport County and MK Dons last month).

Also last month, Alex manager David Artell compared him to current first team regular Perry Ng and it’ll be interesting to see where Luke establishes himself as a player as he looks to get closer to the Alex first team in the future.

As with all players who are still teenagers, he is available to play for Morris’ Under-23 team during his loan spell with Albion.
