Trio Accept Deals

Paul Bignot, Tony Grant and Ben Williams have agreed to sign new deals. Grant and Williams are yet to put pen to paper on the deals, but have verbally agreed to sign their contracts.

With Crewe likely to have a fairly young squad next year, Grant’s signing ensures that we have a composed and reliable player whose excellent retention of possession was one of the reasons for our late season improvement in form. Williams has penned a two-year deal having begun training after suffering from meningitis.

Bignot, meanwhile, has signed his new one-year deal as he looks to challenge for any of the defensive positions. Bignot played in Crewe’s victory over Millwall on the last day of the season, though his performance suggested that improvement will be required if he is to ever secure a regular first team position.
