Crewe travel to Rotherham on the back on Wednesday’s epic cup game against Man Utd. The 120 minutes have taken their toll, with many of Crewe’s players out injured, whilst those fit are unlikely to be as fresh as Rotherham’s players. Rotherham have moved off the bottom of the table and would lie 8th in the league had it not been for their 10 point deduction.

Rotherham Team News:

Millers manager Alan Knill has few concerns ahead of tomorrow’s game, and is boosted by Ian Sharps return following suspension. Justin Cochrane is a doubt, whilst Gregor Robertson is out.

Player to watch: Will Hoskins

The striker has been in fine form this season with 10 goals in all competitions.

Crewe Team News:

Crewe’s squad is thoroughly depleted ahead of tomorrow’s game. Centre-back pairing Neil Cox and Julien Baudet are definitely out of the game, meaning the Frenchman will miss the chance to line up against one of his former clubs. Andy Taylor and David Vaughan are also definitely out, whilst Jon Otsemobor and Isaac Osbourne are doubts. Meanwhile, none of Tony Grant, Lee Matthews, Rodney Jack, Gary Roberts, Lee Bell and Michael O’Connor will feature in tomorrow’s game.

Youngsters Darran Kempson and Danny O’Donnell will partner each other in the centre of defence, whilst Billy Jones will return from injury in time to play. Chris Flynn is expected to make his debut at full-back, whilst Cavell Coo, Adam Dugdale and Pavol Suhaj have been added to the squad.

Player to watch: Luke Varney

After a sensational performance against Man Utd, Crewe will be hoping that Varney has enough energy to cause the Rotherham defence problems.
