Shaun Miller looks like forcing his way into the side on Saturday after scoring two in a 3-0 win for the Alex reserves. Miller seems to be in fine form at the moment after scoring a last minute consolation goal against Bournemouth.
Miller’s two goals were accompanied by a Mark Carrington (pictured) goal as Crewe’s 2nd string breezed past Chesterfield whilst Steve Holland looked on.
Also taking part in the game was ‘keeper Owain Fon Williams, who could win a debut on Saturday before his international duty with Wales U-21s next Wednesday.
Eugen Bopp also played but was the one sour note as he went off with an ankle injury at half time.
Crewe Alexandra squad: Owain Fon Williams, George Abbey, Nathan Bancroft, James Bailey, Mat Bailey, Neil Cox, Eugen Bopp, Colin Daniel, Mark Carrington, Tom Pope, Shaun Miller
Subs: Junior Brown, Luke Murphy, Tom Lappin, Nick Farquharson
