Jack Powell Signs, Uwakwe Leaves

|

Crewe Alexandra have announced that midfielder Jack Powell has signed for the club on an initial 2-year deal with the option of a third year following the expiry of his contract at Crawley Town, becoming the fourth signing of the summer after the arrival of Harvey Davies, Ryan Cooney and Shilow Tracey.

Powell, 29, came through the West Ham Academy system before making his senior debut at their rivals Millwall. After loan spells with Concord Rangers and twice at Braintree Town, he played for Ebbsfleet United and Maidstone United before joining Crawley in the summer of 2019 (he spent time on loan at Aldershot Town during his first season with The Red Devils).

While one midfielder arrives, the club have revealed that midfielder Tariq Uwakwe has left the club by mutual consent – he made 48 appearances for the club in the 18 months since joining from Chelsea, scoring his only goal against Harrogate Town in February.
