Tomorrow afternoon sees Crewe Alexandra host Harrogate Town at the Alexandra Stadium with Rod McDonald on the playing staff of the visitors.

This Season:

This season sees the Sulphurites sitting in 8th place in the league having beaten Doncaster Rovers twice, Morecambe, Salford City, MK Dons, Newport County, Colchester United, Walsall, Notts County, Grimsby Town, Accrington Stanley, Forest Green, Sutton United and Colchester United, they have drawn with Bradford City, Swindon Town, Wrexham and Morecambe while they have lost against Forest Green, Tranmere Rovers twice, Accrington, Barrow, Gillingham, AFC Wimbledon, Stockport County, Colchester, us and Crawley Town.

They lost to Blackburn Rovers in the Carabao Cup Round 2 (after beating Carlisle United in Round 1) and against Bolton Wanderers at the same stage of the FA Cup (after beating Marine in the previous round). In the EFL Trophy, they finished bottom of their group after beating Nottingham Forest’s Under-21s before losing to both Accrington and Carlisle United.

Since the last meeting, they have completed the permanent signings of goalkeepers Jonathan Mitchell and James Belshaw as well as loaning in defender Derrick Abu and forward Tom Bloxham.

Leaving the club permanently were Benjamin Tweed, Mason Wilson, Luke Armstrong and former Alex loanee Kayne Ramsay while George Horbury, Bradley Williams, Emmanuel Ilesanmi, Finn O’Boyle and James Daly all left on loan deals.
