This evening sees Crewe Alexandra host Crawley Town at the Alexandra Stadium looking to complete a league double over the Red Devils after a 2-1 win at Broadfield Stadium in August, the visitors sitting in 12th place in the league table.

So far this season, they have beaten Salford City, Leyton Orient, Cheltenham Town, Mansfield Town, Colchester United, Northampton Town, Bradford City, Grimsby Town and Scunthorpe United, they have drawn with Scunthorpe, Macclesfield Town, Plymouth Argyle twice, Northampton, Newport County, Morecambe, Stevenage, Port Vale, Grimsby Town, Colchester, Forest Green Rovers and Salford City while they have lost to Carlisle United, us, Walsall twice, Forest Green, Bradford, Swindon Town, Cambridge United, Exeter City and Oldham Athletic.

In the cups, they lost to Colchester United in the EFL Cup 4th Round after knocking out Walsall, Norwich City and Stoke City, the latter on penalties, whilst they lost to Fleetwood Town in the FA Cup 2nd Round after knocking out Scunthorpe. They also finished last in their EFL Trophy group after losing to Portsmouth, Norwich City’s Under-21 side and Oxford United.

Since the first meeting, they have made five signings with goalkeeper Tom McGill joining on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion last month, defenders Jamie Sendles-White and Emmanuel Adebowale joining from Torquay United and Eastbourne Borough respectively as well as midfielders Denzeil Boadu (who has since left the club) and Gyliano van Velzen.
