Evans Loaned Out To Marine

|

Crewe Alexandra have announced that Welsh striker Connor Evans has been loaned out to Northern Premier League side Marine for an initial one-month loan with the Merseyside-based club sitting in 16th place in the seventh tier. He is eligible to play in their FA Trophy game at home to Radcliffe Borough this afternoon, the first of 7 games that Marine are scheduled to play in the following month.

Evans, who turned 19 last month, has come through the Alex’s academy set-up before making his debut for the club, while still a second-year scholar, in the EFL Trophy in January in the first of his 6 appearances for the first team.

The former Wales Under-18 forward joins fellow first-year professionals Tom Booth, Sean Lawton and Connor O’Riordan out on loan from the Alex.

What will this signing offer Marine?

Connor is a centre-forward who has scored a number of goals for the Alex at youth team level and is trying to establish himself in senior football. He is a pacy striker that has decent movement for someone of his age and will benefit from playing twice a week for the next month with the option of extending the loan should he do well there.
