Constantine Joins Leeds

Leon Constantine has, as expected, joined Leeds United on a free transfer.

The 29 year old was one of many targets for the Alex but the former Port Vale man has opted to join Leeds, who received a 15 point deduction last week.

Constantine, who scored 26 goals for Vale last year, had been on trial at Leeds for most of the summer and so it comes as no surprise that he’s signed for them only a few days after their transfer embargo was lifted.

For Crewe though, it’s just another blow in the ever frustrating search for a new striker.

How can anyone sign for Leeds in their current position. I read somewhere the players have yet to paid. Surely a move to a STABLE club would be the first on a players mind. Or does he not need the money and security?
