Here are those players that have worn the number 13 shirt in competitive games since squad numbers were brought into the Football League in the 1999/2000 season. Those who have been covered previously will be in the number 1 column.

Stuart Tomlinson (Jul 05 – Jun 08)

Tomlinson came through the Academy, making his debut as a substitute against Oldham Athletic in January 2003 as a second-year scholar. He only made 28 appearances for the club in his 6 seasons as a first-team squad member before joining Barrow in the summer of 2009. He would also play for Port Vale and Burton Albion before having to retire in July 2o13. He would train to become a professional wrestler and signed for WWE’s developmental system before returning to football in early 2017 to play for Altrincham until the end of that season.

Adam Legzdins (Jul 08 – Jun 10)

Legzdins joined the club from Birmingham City in the summer of 2008 following a number of loan spells away from the club. He would make only 8 appearances for the club (all in his second season) before leaving for Burton Albion at the end of his contract. He would also play for Derby County, Leyton Orient and Birmingham City before joining his latest club Burnley in the summer of 2017 where he has recently left the club.

Rhys Taylor (Jul 10 – Jun 11)

Taylor joined the club on loan from Chelsea in the summer of 2010 and would make 49 appearances for the club in his only season with the club. He would also play for Rotherham United, Macclesfield Town, Newport County, Wrexham, AFC Fylde and Tranmere Rovers before retiring in the summer of 2018.

Alan Martin (Jul 11 – Jan 14)

The Scottish keeper joined the club in the summer of 2011 and would make 41 appearances in his 30 months with the club. He would also play for Aldershot, Clyde, Hamilton Academicals, Dumbarton, Queen of the South, East Kilbride and Edinburgh City before joining current club Global Makati of the Philippines in January 2020.

Ben Garratt (Jul 14 – Jun 15)

Covered previously.

Dave Richards (Jul 15 – present)

Richards is currently the player in the current squad that has had his number for the longest (watch him change number when the new numbers are announced now I’ve set that), having held it since joining the club from Bristol City in the summer of 2015. He has made 26 appearances for the club in that time (having only made his debut in his 3rd season at the club) and will provide competition to Will Jaaskelainen next season.
