Faroe Islands defender Jonas Tor Naes will get another chance to impress Gudjon in tonight’s friendly at Hyde United.

The 22 year old had 45 minutes at Nantwich on Sunday, playing right back, and whilst fellow trialists Adam Nowland and Craig Rocastle were released following that game Gudjon saw enough promise in Tor Naes to give him another chance.

Having played for Danish club Køge BK last season Jonas arrived in England this summer to try and find a career in the English leagues. Earlier this month saw him trial at Wrexham in a 1-1 draw at Coventry.

Assistant manager Steve Davis says that Tor Naes will probably get a game tonight at Hyde, telling the official website:

‘We have extended the trial period of the lad from the Faroe Islands because we want to judge him over a length of time. He played 45 minutes of the game at Nantwich and did okay in difficult conditions.

‘He will probably be given another chance to show us what he has got against Hyde this evening.’

The game tonight kicks off at 7:30pm at Hyde’s Ewen Fields ground.
