Alex midfielder Steven Schumacher is hoping Dario can turn the club’s fortunes around once more.

Schumacher returned to the side for Saturday’s defeat to Rotherham after being dropped for Thordarson’s last game against Bury last Tuesday.

Arguably one of the club’s better performers this season, Schumacher says the change in personnel and playing style is a positive one. Speaking to crewechronicle.co.uk Shuey said:

“I enjoyed being able to get the ball down and play, it suits me better. We were able to show what we were all about. Hopefully we can all do what Dario wants and pick up some points.”

With attention now turned to facing his former club Bradford City on Saturday, Schumacher is just after halting this five game losing streak.

“That`s five consecutive defeats and it has got to stop. For years now I`ve been hearing how we have played well but lost. It`s starting to do my head in.”

played well but lost, can’t think of that many in last couple of years. Majority deserved defeats bar Saturday of course.
