Reports: Holland to go? Dario back?

News from the Sunday papers is filtering and in the fashion more suitable for the Premiership there is talk that Steve Holland’s reign has finally come to an end.

There was talk from some fans that board meetings had taken place and that Holland’s job was under threat and it seems to be gathering pace.

News of the World (ok, not very reliable but stick with us) reports that Holland is set to be sacked.

The Sunday paper says that Crewe are ‘set to deliver their first sacking in over 25 years’ following yesterday’s defeat at home to Leyton Orient.

Taking Holland’s place? Well, there’s only one name – Dario Gradi. It would make sense for Dario to return to the managers position, whether he’d take it full time again is doubtful but until someone new comes in Dario is the best option.

The report concludes by saying that the board want to restructure the management but Holland wants to remain completely in charge. Hmm, that sounds familiar.
Let’s stress: these are rumours. At this moment in time Steve Holland is still manager (well, first team coach) and until the club confirms otherwise we have to take all talk with a little pinch of salt… and hope.
