Crewe will travel to Bulgaria in preparation for the 2008/2009 season. The club are putting finishing touches to the arrangement that will see the Alex kick off their pre-season programme with a couple of games abroad, with Bulgarian second division sides lined up.

The club will also be taking a trip to Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground the end of July. The Dragons have recently fallen out of the Football League but it’s surely a game for the purists who see Wrexham as one of Crewe’s main rivalry.

Hull City will also visit Gresty Road if they gain promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs this month, whilst a tie with Liverpool is still being discussed.

The annual trip to Quorn is still on and there will also be a Alex 11 going to Biddulph Victoria, Tom Pope’s old club.
