No danger of losing

Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood believes his side were never in any danger of losing the game.

The stalemate at Gresty Road was met with a general yawn, with few chances at either end to talk about. Calderwood though believes that this was more down to Forest letting the Alex off the hook through there poor play. Right. That’s what they all say.

Calderwood told nottinghamforest.premiumtv.co.uk: ‘I am satisfied with the effort from our players and the desire was there, there was never any threat of us losing.

‘We had one or two opportunities in the first half that should have ended in goals. We were not competing in the last third and our slack play let Crewe off the hook.’

Forest’s best, and only, scoring chance came from a superb Junior Agogo long range shot which had Ben Williams at full stretch to parry it out.
