Like the senior team, Crewe’s Under 18’s team drew 1-1. Their opening fixture of the FA North Premier League North saw them take on Newcastle United.
Newcastle took the lead on the 24th minute. Jonny Godsmark converting at the back post after good work by Donninger.
Ben McHugh equalised on the stroke of half time. His header looped over the keeper. The goal came from a Luke Danville free kick which was flicked on by Josh Thompson.
The next game for the Under 18’s is against Birmingham City at Reaseheath next Saturday – Kick Off 11am.
