|

Crewe Alexandra have confirmed that forward Tyreece Onyeka, midfielder Joe Robbins and defender Nathan Woodthorpe have all signed new deals with the club (all signing their second deals as professionals), although the lengths of the deals haven’t been announced. All three players previous deals were set to expire next month.

Robbins has already spent time at Altrincham this season, making 5 appearances for them on loan back in November. as well as appearing on the substitutes bench for the trip to Rochdale in January and the Bristol Rovers game at the start of the month. Both Onyeka and Woodthorpe have also been involved with the first team (again in that Rochdale game) but haven’t yet experienced any senior football.

You can find out who else is out of contract this summer here.

What does this mean going forward?

These contract extensions will see them mainly play for Alex Morris’ Under-23 squad and be on the fringes of the first team. They may also gain experience on loan at National League clubs (whether that’s in the National League or at North/South level in the sixth tier).
