Crewe Alexandra have announced that midfielder Regan Griffiths has joined Notts County on loan for the rest of their season, the Magpies currently sitting in 6th-place in the National League.
Griffiths, 20, has already spent time out on loan at Kidsgrove Athletic and Witton Albion last year before making his Alex debut in the EFL Trophy in October in the first of his 4 senior appearances to date.
He joins former Alex player Mark Ellis, who’s on loan from Tranmere Rovers, at Meadow Lane.
What are County getting from the signing of Griffiths?
He’s a typical Alex Academy graduate that looks after the ball in midfield. Regan is naturally a central midfielder (he played as a defensive midfielder on his debut in the Trophy – 180 of his 192 minutes this season for the first team were in that competition) and has also played in both wide positions and as a false 9 for the Under-23s at the Alex.
