Tomorrow evening sees Crewe Alexandra travel to North Cheshire to face Stockport County with former Alex midfielders Nick Powell and Antoni Sarcevic as part of the hosts’ squad.

They lost to Sheffield Wednesday on penalties in the Carabao Cup Round 1 while they lost against Aldershot Town in the FA Cup 2nd Round following a replay after knocking Worksop Town in the previous round. In the EFL Trophy, they finished 2nd in their group after beating Salford City either side of defeats against Manchester United’s Under-21s and Bolton Wanderers before losing to Wigan Athletic in Round 2.

Transfers:

Since the last meeting, they have completed the permanent signing of midfielder Odin Bailey (who had previously been on loan) with defenders Ethan Bristow, Rhys Bennett and Lewis Cass as well as midfielder Rico Richards all joining on loan with Billy Chadwick, Joe Lewis and Sam Bird all leaving the club permanently.
