Tomorrow afternoon sees the Alex make the long trip to Portman Road to face Ipswich Town.

This Season:

They sit in 13th place following wins against Lincoln City, Doncaster Rovers, Shrewsbury Town, Portsmouth, Fleetwood Town and Wycombe Wanderers,  they have drawn with Morecambe, MK Dons, AFC Wimbledon, Sheffield Wednesday, Cambridge United and Oxford United while they have lost against Burton Albion, Cheltenham Town, Bolton Wanderers, Accrington Stanley, Plymouth Argyle, Sunderland and Rotherham United.

They lost to Newport County in the Carabao Cup 1st Round and knocked Oldham Athletic out of the FA Cup to set up a game at home to Barrow in Round 2 next weekend. They would top their EFL Trophy group with wins over Gillingham and Colchester United (the latter on pens) after losing to West Ham United’s Under-21s in the first group game – they host Arsenal’s Under-21s in the 2nd Round on Wednesday night.

Transfers:

This summer has been a busy one for the Tractor Boys with 21 players arriving, 16 on permanent deals and 5 on season-long loans. Goalkeepers Vaclav Hladky and Christian Walton (loan) are joined by defenders Matt Penney, George Edmundsson, Cameron Burgess and loanee Hayden Coulson. Midfielders Callum Page, Rekeem Harper, Lee Evans, Scott Fraser, Kyle Edwards, Tom Carroll, Sam Morsy and loanee Bersant Celina would also join while forwards Wes Burns, Joe Pigott, Conor Chaplin, Sone Aluko, Tete Yengi and loanees Macauley Bonne and Louie Barry complete the signings.

They have allowed 23 players to leave on permanent deals and a further 5 players to leave on loan deals.
