Tomorrow afternoon, Crewe Alexandra travel to the ECO-Power Stadium to face Doncaster Rovers with former Alex forward Billy Waters and former loanee Jamie Sterry as part of their squad.

In the EFL Trophy, they topped the group after beating Everton’s Under-21s and Burton Albion either side of a defeat at Mansfield. They would defeat Nottingham Forest’s Under-21s and Wigan Athletic in the second and third rounds respectively before losing to Bradford in the quarter-finals.

Since the last meeting, they have signed defender Jay McGrath and forward Maxime Biamou on permanent deals as well as goalkeeper Thimothee Lo-Tutala, midfielder Matthew Craig and forwards Conor Carty, Waters and Hakeeb Adelakun on loan deals.

Leaving the club permanently was defender Adam Long with goalkeeper Ben Bottomley, defender Charlie Seaman, midfielder Jack Degrachy and forwards Tavonga Kuleya and Jack Goodman have left the club on loan deals.
