Tomorrow, in our third home game already of the season, we host Michael Flynn and his Newport County side as after their 3-3 draw at Stevenage last weekend and a 2-0 win at Southend in the Carabao Cup.

During the summer, they have made 5 permanent signings as well as 3 loans. Defenders David Pipe and Ben White have arrived from Eastleigh and a loan from Brighton & Hove Albion whilst the midfield area have been strengthened with the arrival of Matt Dolan, Robbie Willmott and Reece Cole. The forwards that have come in are Frank Nouble, Lamar Reynolds and Shawn McCoulsky.

Crewe Alexandra Team News:
Both striker Jordan Bowery and left-back Zoumana Bakayago are pushing for contention to start the game whilst midfielder James Jones is expected to feature for the Under-23s on Monday at Ipswich while this game comes too early for George Ray as he is still recovering from a stress fracture.

Newport County Team News:
Defender Scot Bennett sustained an ankle injury during Tuesday`s game and is a doubt to start the game. Everyone else is available for Newport.

Crewe Alexandra hosted the-then bottom team of League 2, who were under caretaker-manager Michael Flynn for the first time after the dismissal earlier in the week. The hosts took the lead mid-way through the opening period as Alex Kiwomya`s cross-field ball found Oliver Turton whose low cross was turned in by loanee Callum Cooke beating goalkeeper Joe Day at his near post.
Newport equalised in the 53rd minute as a right-wing cross was headed out to the edge of the area where Dan Butler volleyed home right into the bottom-left corner of Ben Garratt`s goal. The winning goal came a minute from time came from another right-wing cross that was kept alive and finished by captain Joss Ladabie
