Ryan Lowe couldn’t get off the mark for Stockport County as their game at Chester was called off after 60 minutes. Lowe started on the bench for Stockport, who he joined on loan till the end of the season on Thursday afternoon.

The game, at 0-0, came under threat from heavy during the match and the referee took it upon himself to end the game early due to the water on the pitch, leaving County fans feeling very bitter.

It was a bit more eventful for our other trialists though. Ryan Lynch played in a 1-1 draw at Torquay for Blue Square Premier side Altrincham. ‘Alty’ pulled themselves out of the relegation zone with the point against the 2nd placed side.

Junior Brown got his spell at Witton Albion off to a fine start with a goal after 26 minutes. Witton went on to beat Lincoln United 6-0, with former Alex trainee Adam Warlow bagging a hat-trick.

Trainee Chris Clements also scored today. He bagged a 90th minute goal in a 3-0 win over Stocksbridge for Nantwich Town as they look for promotion from the Unibond First Division South.

Mat Bailey played in defence for Weymouth in an exciting match. Unfortunately for the Terras they were on the receiving end as they lost 4-2 to Farsley Celtic.

Colin Daniel played 90 minutes for Leek Town as they beat Ossett Town 1-0.

Finally, Nick Farquharson was a substitute for Nuneaton as they drew 1-1 at Gainsborough Trinity.
