Alex loanee Jamie Lowry says he would be happy to remain a Crewe player if the chance arose.

Having arrived on a short loan deal last month, Lowry has played a starring role in the centre of midfield alongside Lee Bell in the last three games.

It now seems inevitable that manage Steve Davis will look to keep the 24 year old beyond January 7th, when the current deal comes to an end.

Lowry says that if chance to stay at Crewe is there then he will take it but admits he is happy to return to the Spireites if it comes with regular football.

Speaking to the BBC, Lowry said: ‘It’s really enjoyable playing games week-in, week-out, and I’m happy to do that wherever it may come.

‘We’ll see if Steve Davis likes what he sees and I’ll be more than happy to stay here.

‘If Chesterfield want me back there, that’s the way it is. I just want to play football at the end of the day.’
