Crewe take on Hull City tomorrow afternoon in the first friendly at Gresty Road this summer. The Premier League new boys are set to field a strong team, including new signings Anthony Gardner, George Boateng and defender Bernard Mendy. However, manager Phil Brown has failed to complete a deal for Wigan’s Marlon King in time for the game.

For the Alex, Holland is hoping to see his new look forward line in full action tomorrow. £200,000 signing Calvin Zola is due to start up front with Nicky Maynard. New boy Anthony Elding will also be after a starting place but after only one training session with his new team mates he may have to settle for the bench.

Trialist Eddie Johnson has been promised another chance, despite the signing of Elding. Johnson has been on trial for a few weeks and has played the previous three friendlies, and with Hull may be his final chance to earn a contract Steve Holland says nothing is decided yet.

Tomorrow’s game kicks off at 3:00pm. Tickets are priced at £11 for adults, £3 U-16s and £5 students and senior citizens.
