Nottingham Forest striker Grant Holt has targeted the match against Crewe next Saturday in which to make his comeback from injury.

The striker has been recovering from a hernia operation and is hoping to be involved in the match day squad if he suffers no reaction.

He told Forest World: ‘Things are going really well. The swelling is getting less and less with every day and hopefully next week I’ll be back out on the grass and in line to play against Crewe.’

Holt was on target against Crewe in the 4-1 victory at the Alexandra Stadium last season in mid December and also started the 0-0 draw on the final day of last season at the City Ground.
