Of what a great club we have. Jealousy is a terrible thing, and the Crystal Palace chairman has it in abundance.

Jordan has never really liked us much. When Dario dared question anyone who was mental/deranged enough to want to work with oh great one, all hell broke loose.

Jordan went on to rip into Crewe and Dario, saying ‘Fair enough that someone who has spent 22 years at a feeder club might find ambition frightening’ in his rather dull Guardian column.

He went on to try and justify sacking every manager that looked at him the wrong way, whilst taking snide pops at Crewe for not having the biggest resources.

Following this, Jordan decided the population of Crewe was rich enough to fund him. A trip to Selhurst Park is testing at the best of times, but he decided Crewe fans had to pay top notch for a Tuesday night meaningless game. He was charging £30 on a night Palace were struggling in the league and we were doing ok.

Weeks earlier he had taken another snidey remark saying: ‘If you pay to watch Palace v Crewe it`s £20. To watch us play a top side, it’s £30’. We can only assume he got that the wrong way round.

We drew that game 2-2. coming back from 2-0 down..

Then came Ashton-gate. Dean Ashton completed a £3million move to Norwich City in January 2005 and all seemed fine, until Jordan stuck his nose in. He claimed that Dario had ignored his bid for the striker so that Ashton wouldn’t join them.

So we hadn’t heard from our best friend for a while, today though his ugly head (of hair) reappeared. Speaking to Sky Sports he decided stability is nonsense, a good football club is built on sand!

‘This stability nonsense, the idea that keeping a manager in situ will give you a stable and progressive club, is nonsense.

‘Look at Crewe, they’ve had Dario Gradi in charge for 20 years. Yes, they’ve been great at producing players, but where has their football club gone? Up and down, up and down.’ He told Sky Sports News.

Jordan neglected to mention one thing. Palace have also gone up, down and, erm, down. With the genius that is he at the helm, how could this be?

We suggest Jordan keeps his gob shut till he makes a positive impact at his club and football as a whole. Just like Sir Dario Gradi.
