A second string Crewe side fell to a 4-0 defeat at Kidderminster last night, ending our unbeaten record this summer.

Despite the Alex taking a relatively experienced side to Aggborough, with the likes of Danny Shelley, Byron Moore, Mat Mitchel-King and Joel Grant in the travelling squad, the quality against a weak Kidderminster side was non-existent.

It took just 30 minutes for Kiddy to build a solid 3-0 lead. Nick Wright and Charlie Bird both netting in the first 15 minutes before Harry Davis was penalised, giving away a penalty for the Harriers’ third.

Kidderminster netted a fourth in the second half whilst the Alex proved insufficient up front and with the final whistle came a little bit of thinking to do. With the side out there virtually being our second 11 right now, you have to wonder just how much strength in depth there is…. If any.
