Thordarson says he’ll wait and see about any more new signings following the arrival of John Ruddy.

The no nonsense Iceman should, in fans’ view, probably be looking for a couple more defensive players but Thord, having completed the month loan deals of defender Marlon Broomes and ‘keeper John Ruddy this week, says he’ll wait and see what the Tranmere Rovers game brings tomorrow.

Speaking to the official website, Thordarson said:

”There are a few days of the transfer window left and we can start loaning again after a week anyway. If good players become available for us then we will be prepared to make a move.

”I don’t know if we will bring anyone else in before the deadline on Monday. If my players do their job against Tranmere and we get something from the game, then that will show me that I don’t have to bring anyone else in on loan.”

Whether two new additions can plug the leak that has seen over an average of two goals a game conceded this season we’ll have to see, but doubts have to remain about the quality at left back as well as the defensive capabilities in midfield.
