Crewe have completed the loan signing of goal keeper John Ruddy on a one month loan deal.
Arriving from Everton, the former Cambridge United prospect played 12 games for Stockport County last season, keeping eight clean sheets in that spell.
The 23 year old has previously had loan spells with Bristol City, Wrexham, Walsall, Chester and Rushden since signing for Everton for £250,000 from Cambridge in 2004.
Ruddy’s signing puts an end to Thordarson’s search for a new keeper which has seen moves Burnley stopper Kiraly and Hull keeper Tony Warner fail.
Ruddy looks set to go straight into the side to face Tranmere on Saturday, hopefully putting a stop to the recent series of goalkeeping bloopers seen at Gresty Road (and other football grounds near you).

Good signing this, but won’t be enough without bolstering the back four!
Still, well done Gudjon!
Good signing? More like amazing signing! I’m loving this!
