Four Up As Alex Under-23s Beat QPR

First-half goals from Offrande Zanzala and Chris Porter, the latter from the penalty spot, were added to by Josh Lundstram and Olly Lancashire in a 3-minute period against QPR at Reaseheath this afternoon despite the Hoops taking the lead.

Manager Alex Morris named Dave Richards in goal with a back 4 of Travis Johnson, Eddie Nolan, Lancashire and Rio Adebisi, in front of them were Tom Lowery, Josh Lundstram and Joe Robbins with a front 3 of Owen Dale, Porter and Zanzala. On the bench for the Alex was sub keeper Sam Booth as well as

QPR would take the lead just before the half-hour through Aoraha beating Richards to the ball before the Alex would level on 33 minutes with Lundstram finding Zanzala who curled past Mahoney in the Hoops’ goal. Zanzala would win a penalty in the final minute of the half with Porter scoring the resultant spot-kick.

The lead would be extended 8 minutes after the break with Lundstram curling the ball past the keeper following a Lowery shot before Lancashire would head home a Dale corner.

The next games for the Alex at this level will be a trip to Bristol City next Tuesday at 1 pm before playing against Witton Albion in the Cheshire Senior Cup first round the following night.
