Damien Spencer, who’s move to Crewe in January went sour when he failed a medical, is set to have a knee operation.
The big centre forward who currently plays for Cheltenham was all set to move to Gresty Road in the January transfer window and even agreed terms with the management.
When it came to his medical though the Alex physios and medical team were concerned about his long term fitness worries and called the deal off.
It seems their claims have now been justified and the decision not to sign Spencer was a wise one. He is now set to have an operation to correct the bad knee which effectively saw his move to Crewe cancelled.

correct!
Knee injury and “other issues”
Stay well clear, well done to the medicial people for standing firm despite management wanting to sign him anyway.
Sounds like the right choice was made in the end?
