A volley from Barnsley midfielder Sam Fielding gave Barnsley their 3rd win in 4 games at this level with the only goal at Reaseheath this afternoon.

Manager Alex Morris named Dave Richards in goal with a back 4 of Travis Johnson, Matty Fenton, Billy Sass-Davies and Rio Adebisi in front of him. In midfield, Connor Heath played from the right with Luke Offord, Joe Lynch and Regan Griffiths completing the midfield while Lewis Reilly and Malachi Linton played up front.

The visitors took the lead on 19 minutes with Fielding volleying home from just inside the area from Jack Wardle’s cross before Reilly hit the post with an effort 10 minutes later. The second half was mostly Alex pressure without creating too much on Jack Walton’s goal.

The next game for Morris’ men is against Birmingham City, scheduled for Saturday morning.
