Striker Anthony Elding has joined League Two side Lincoln City on a three-month emergency loan deal.

Elding now has chance to get regular first team football, score some goals and attempt to prove to new Crewe manager Gudjon Thordarson that he should have a future at Crewe.

Inserted in the loan agreement is a 24 hour recall clause after Elding has completed a month at Sincil Bank, allowing him to be called back to Crewe after that period at any time.

How has Elding been performing when he has played? I see he has only 1 goal so far this season.

    Who’s emergency? Ours or theirs?

he’s scored 3 in 11 starts this season. Don’t see y he gets put out on loan and he keep Zola and Moore

I was more hoping Thordarson would stick a rocket up his arse. But maybe this is the rocket.

Every time I’ve seen Elding he’s looked less and less interested and with zero ability. I saw bits of him at Stockport so there is something in him but why he isn’t showing it can only be down to himself.

Seems strange that he did well at Stockport, showed the odd bit of promise at Leeds. To be honest, he didn’t really get a chance behind their fine-firing strikers there. Was surprised he joined Crewe in all honesty. Now less so seeing as he can’t be bothered! Use the window to get a decent loan striker in!
