Aha, some news to be had. It’s been an extremely quiet week, maybe the calm before the storm, but we can now report that Anthony Elding has extended his loan at Lincoln… by three days.

The former Stockport striker is set to complete his 90 day loan over the weekend as he returns from suspension for the League Two club. However, Lincoln want to take advantage of the 93 day loan rule and use up those extra three days so he can play on Tuesday against Chesterfield.

Elding has made 13 appearances for Lincoln since signing in January, scoring just three goals. He returned from a three match suspension on Tuesday evening in Lincoln’s 1-0 win against Macclesfield.

Also on loan at the Imps is midfielder Michael O’Connor and his future is less certain. The Irish midfielder’s loan is set to expire on Monday with no word from Lincoln boss Peter Jackson on if his stay will be extended.
