Daniels Joins Walsall

|

Crewe Alexandra have confirmed that defender Donervon Daniels has left the club by mutual consent and joined Walsall on a deal until the end of the season.

Daniels, 28, started his career at West Bromwich Albion and has also represented Tranmere Rovers, Gillingham, Blackpool, Aberdeen, Wigan Athletic, Rochdale, Luton Town and Doncaster Rovers before joining the Alex in the summer of 2020 on a free transfer, making 31 appearances for the club.

He has also represented Montserrat at international level, making his debut for them in a 4-0 win against the US Virgin Islands last June.

What are they getting from the signing of Daniels?

Donervon is a central defender who can also play on the right side of defence but probably had his better games for the club in the latter position due to his athletic attributes. He’ll be a good signing at that level for me but was caught out a little in League 1 with his positioning.
