A goal ten minutes from time saw Crewe Alexandra draw at Barnsley in the Under-23s Professional Development League this afternoon.
Whilst there is no midweek fixture for the first team this midweek, it was not announced what manager Alex Morris had named for this fixture.
The opening goal of the game came in the 44th minute with forward Jack Sherlock heading home a corner from Will Lancaster before the Alex would level 10 minutes from time with a curling effort into the corner of the goal.
The next games at this level are a home game against Sheffield United (venue not confirmed but probably Reaseheath) on Wednesday 9th February before facing their city rivals Sheffield Wednesday at Stocksbridge Park Steels’ Look Local Stadium on Monday 21st (both games scheduled to kick-off at 1:00 pm).
