Defender Mark Ellis can force his way back into the Crewe Alexandra starting line-up according to assistant manager Neil Baker.
“He’s a warrior and our fans appreciate what he does for the team” – Neil Baker |
Ellis has recently lost his place to Adam Dugdale in the middle of defence having arrived at the club in a £80,000 deal from Torquay United last summer.
“His attitude never wavers, he is a model professional,” Baker told This is Staffordshire. “His preparation between games and his attitude towards the game is exceptional. There are no problems on that score.
“He hasn’t always played as well as we would like,” he admitted. “He’s a warrior and our fans appreciate what he does for the team, but he has made mistakes. That is what we are trying to eliminate.”
