Crewe Alexandra defender Donervon Daniels has been called up for Montserrat their CONCACAF Gold Cup qualification game against Trinidad & Tobago, which takes place on Friday night. Should they win that game, they will play against either Cuba or French Guiana on Tuesday night with the winners of that playing in the Gold Cup, which starts on July 10th.
Daniels made his international debut last month in their FIFA World Cup qualifying against the US Virgin Islands (a game that Montserrat won 4-0) before missing their game against Grenada later in that week. They finished second in their qualifying group behind El Salvador in a group that also contained Antigua & Barbuda, Grenada and the US Virgin Islands but would be eliminated at that stage as only the group winners advanced to the second round stage.
With his previous cap, he became the first player to make a full international appearance for their country whilst playing at the Alex since Mathias Pogba represented Guinea in 2013.
