Steve Davis may have promised the players a couple of days off following two hard fought wins in the last seven days but there will be no let up in changes under the new manager.

Davis has already introduced a more intense training schedule, as well as little things such as team breakfasts before training, and hopes to get the players fitness up even further with a bit of yoga.

Speaking after today’s win against Hereford, Davis told BBC Radio Stoke that some yoga will help keep the players flexible and injury free.

‘They need a rest, it’s been a really tough two weeks in terms of the level of tempo.

‘They’ll be in on Monday and I’ll be introducing some yoga to help the relaxation.

‘It’s something I’ve done before with players and these aren’t a flexible bunch. If you help flexibility then you can prolong their career and helps cut down injuries.

‘They’ll be off Tuesday & Wednesday but back in and working hard on Thursday & Friday.’
