Cyprus U21 goalkeeper Dimitris Stylianou will learn his fate after playing in Monday night’s friendly against Newcastle Town. The youngster arrived on trial last week as Crewe attempt to find another goalkeeper. The Olympiakos Nicosia goalkeeper will return to Cyprus on Wednesday, so his performance against Newcastle Town will be key to his chances of winning a contract.
Meanwhile, Stuart Tomlinson’s loan move to Burton Albion is on hold whilst Crewe look to land another goalkeeper. Gradi believes that Tomlinson needs first-team football and believes working under Nigel Clough would be a good experience for him.
