Dario was absent from a Crewe Alexandra league match for the first time this season as he went scouting at a reserve match between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

Steve Holland was left to guide the team to a 1-1 draw against second placed Tranmere last night, the first time the reigns were handed over fully for a league match.

Down in London though, Dario was on a scouting mission as he watched a stalemate between Tottenham Reserves and Arsenal Reserves. With the Alex looking at bringing in a new striker and new left winger, there were a couple of possibilities on show.

The main name in the frame is Lee Barnard’s Spurs team mate Andrew Barcham. Barcham and Barnard were regularly strike partners over the past 12 months, and Dario’s scouting could well come from a Barney tip-off.

Barcham’s a 21 year old pacey striker who top scored regularly for the Spurs U-18s, and helped guide them to the Youth Cup Semi-Final one year. He also started for Tottenham in a Carling Cup game last year, when Port Vale visited White Hart Lane.

Barchams got 3 in his last four for the reserves. Tomas Pekhart is the one to keep an eye on though. Hows Lee Barnard looking for guys?
