Crewe Alexandra prospect Charlie Kirk admits he must grow stronger in order to continue his development.

The eighteen-year-old forward managed nine starts and five appearances from the bench last season following his debut at Rochdale in February.

He’s now working hard in the gym and busily preparing for the demands of League Two football.

“The manager has spoken to me, and I know I have to develop physically,” Kirk told the Stoke Sentinel. “That is what I have been working on because I think I am a technical player.

“I need to become stronger and not get bashed about in League Two, so that is what I have been working on over the summer.”
