Now ex-Fulham defender Liam Fontaine has rejected Crewe, today signing for League One rivals Bristol City. He is expected to pass a medical today and will be unveiled to the media this afternoon.
Vital Crewe reported Bristol’s bid for Fontaine earlier this week earlier this week, with Dario suspecting that Crewe’s bid was accepted, and announced in order to smoke out the interest from the Robins.
Liam will now join up with another former Crewe target Jamie McCombe for next season. It’ll be certainly interesting to see if both players can make it in what appears to be turning into a tough-looking league for next season.
