Right Back Rocked by Relegation

Jon Otsemobor has missed the first compulsory training sessions of the pre-season in recent weeks. Dario had been unwilling to lambast his former-Liverpool full back, as he insisted there could be a perfectly reasonable explanation.

However, it now appears that any explanation is far from reasonable. Otsemobor’s agent, Eric Walters, made a poor attempt at playing down Otsemobor’s absence. Walters claimed his client didn’t know that pre-season training began now. It appears that both Otsemobor and his agent think the fans are as stupid as he is. Does he really expect anyone to believe that he hasn’t spoken to any of his team-mates or that the club didn’t tell him when pre-season training begins. It is interesting to note that other recent new signings such as Ryan Lowe managed to turn up to the right sessions.

Walters went on to hint that Otsemobor’s desire to play for the club, who he sees as a ‘stepping stone’, has been severely affected by relegation. Walters said, ‘Jon is very ambitious and he wants to play at the highest level. He is grateful to Crewe for giving him a stepping stone, but he thought they were going to stay in the Championship.’

Vital Crewe suggests to Jon Otsemobor that he allows for the possibility of relegation when he joins a club who at the time were 7 points adrift at the bottom of the league, had just suffered a 5-1 mauling at Derby, and hadn’t won in 12 games. Otsemobor’s attitude typifies self pity – exactly what the club need to avoid if they are to adapt well to their new division.

What a patheric excuse. He didn’t mind going to league 1 with Rotherham did he. I wonder whether he really wants to be here, either that or his agent is playing games with his career again.
